So driver side rear didn't go to plan, managed to sheer off a stainless bolt in the worst place possible none of my drill bits would touch it so popped to Screwfix picked up some cobalt ones,. First go tapped the bolt the bigger upto 4mm got out my extraction tool only to snap it in the hole ****. Tried tapping that no chance

If you see an MR2 with a raised engine cover, the bottom line is it's probably faster than your car.

Managed to cut across it with a Dremel not the best solution but managed to pick it out and just drop a 5mm drill through the rest, filled it back up with metal and retapped
Managed to pick up exact same bolts from Halfords

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] new brakes
Didn't realise you also had WMS kit too haha. I'd hope that going all willwood would have a bettter selection of pads than the wms kit which limits me to EBC (don't trust em after a bad experience) and Carbotech which are good but expensive and dusty.
Porterfield R4S were ok on road but crap on track and the R4 is apparently too extreme for on road use.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] new brakes
currently have standard pads on rear and ferodo 2500 on front, really only wanted a decent handbrake as the car has rolled twice now, first was into a brand new punto then into my bin which luckily stopped it hitting the garage door,

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] new brakes
Sorry about delay but working full time
Started on front at 11pm lol
Had to soak the bolts as they wouldn't undo on the bracket

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] new brakes
very nice indeed! Loving the calipers my 996 Porsche calipers have about the same clearance to the wheel spokes. Is that OZ chrono wheels you have?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] new brakes
be good to hear how you rate this kit over the WMS, getting rid of the rear caliper is a huge plus

Wow, not much clearance on those! What offsets/width are your wheels?

Rear - 17 x 8.5 et40 -
Front - 17 x 8 et38 -
All fitted just need to bleed them, wanted to use a pressure bleeder but they all have screws caps and the 2 doesn't, any suggestions

Hi Mate
Wondering how you got on with this?
I noticed that he's now selling a stoptech kit https://wilhelmraceworks.com/stoptech-big-brakes

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] new brakes
Just bumping this to see if you got any further with this, I've ordered the bare kit and just waiting for it to ship.
Did your one come with the safety wire for the bells or the new nuts?
