Does anyone know if my manifold will fit?

Post by SeanSw20 »

So I ordered a stainless manifold on ebay as it was £20 and some of the studs snapped on mines. I was then reading that different revs might have different manifolds and it might not fit.

Can anyone confirm what rev mines is for / if it will fit?

EDIT: afaik rev3+ is 8bolt, rev2 is 9bolt, and rev1 could be 7bolt (I will wait to be corrected) :eye:

Thanks for the response, went on the link and it doesn't say anything about 6 bolt, hoping there will be a way to make it fit

I thought it was 7 bolt, just assumed that the top right of pic was missing and that may have a bit for bolt?

Don't know what rev that exhaust is for as just tried to fit it and all the holes are out of line and the ports don't match up

Had a few hours free today so got the grinder out and wire brushed under neath the boot floor and rust treated any bits needed. Then covered it all in zinc primer ready for the stone chip whenever it turns up. While grinder was out I cut the bolts holding the struts off and chapped the bolts out. Anyone know what thread and length they are so can order some from ebay?

Just waiting for stonechip and springs then can get subframe on and finally get it back together

That's a lot of work done and fair play for saving the car. Keep up the progress and I will follow with interest.

Today I did the 8 hour trip to pick up the bumper, sideskirts and rear spats.

Also got some spare interior plastics as mines is all wood vinyl, clear side lights, fog lights and a front strut brace from him.

Gave up on the stainless manifold, so I've drilled out the snapped stud and refitted the manifold

Also had to cut the alternator off with a grinder and drill out the threaded part of the bracket. Will now be able to fit the alternator but the top adjusting part was missing so I dunno what it needs there?

Got my shot blasted exhaust mounts fitted aswell, 1 of the bushes needed replaced so made a polybush for it
