Hi guys,
Looking for advice on where to go next....
Currently sitting with standard rev 3 rail with sard 800cc side feed injectors.
Wanting to now go to 1000cc top feed but.....
Rail: I guess I need the 14mm one? I see there's wolfkat etc coming in at around £300..... or eBay rails at £30.
Given that it's machined CAD metal, does anyone use the cheaper option? Obviously as it's fuelling I don't want to mess around with anything that's a risk so only looking for tried and tested measures.
I guess injectors I'm limited to ID1000''S?
Is anyone selling a setup? Or know where best to buy? Cheers

Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
Ive got a speedsource fuel rail which i bought from them direct in the USA, then sourced some RC 1200cc injectors 2nd hand plenty about and a Aeromotive FPR cost me about 500 all in.
Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
I used to use a sard top feed fuel rail but then after changing the head to a rev3 turbo I had to get a new fuel rail Asaph so gave an eBay one a try. Made sure I put it together carefully to ensure everything would seal properly and got it on and mapped and it's been behaving very well.
Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
That's good to know, thanks gents.
Trying to think of possible failure points with having an eBay rail...
They can't flow different (?)
They must seal OK
Just so much cheaper than mr2 "specific" ones I honestly don't know why specific ones costrich ten times more

Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
I,ve been told by a reputable engine builder that this is the one to go for. http://xxxx/catalog/p ... cts_id=158 Ok that won't work, you know the bloke's website it's under fuelling £610
Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
It was the 870cc injectors i was recommended.
Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
I've got a eBay fuel rail in the drawer in my garage, and a genuine sard rail on the car. The actual eBay rail it's self is ok, but the rest of the kit (fasteners, spacers and head/injector adapters) is quite poor.
Don't cheap out where fuel is concerned, £150ish for a sard rail is cheap enough considering what you've spent on the rest of the car

Awesome, thanks gents.
Rob, you've tried everything haven't you
At the moment I'm on 800cc but keep reading mixed reports on when they max out (80% duty) - seems between 450 and 500.
Problem is I'm going for the top end of that, and just fuelling means another wedge if needed. Currently lots of fuel left at 420hp apparently.

Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
Just drill the injectors out with an 8mm drill bit and attach a AA battery to each one, you'll be right as rain Andy
Re: Top feed fuel rail / injector setups
That'd give me WAY too much power Cal..... DUHHHHH
