I have a mongoose which is just about spot on noise wise. I have a cat on mine, and on motorway no drone whatsoever.

I had a decat on for a couple of days and it's slightly louder but still okay.

Friend has a Fujibitsu on his Celica which sounds great but I think they are pretty rare for the MR.

Fujiboobie is stock +5%, I thought a waste of cash personally.

Much nicer tonality though, which is far more important than dB levels.

Someone got a mongoose in the fs section. Not too loud but gives a deeper tone

Is it just me that when I go to a lot of links for photos for items for sale in keep getting warnings for virus alerts? Rather annoying. I appreciate it might be my phone but would be easier if people just posted the photos in the adverts. Mongoose exhaust sounds interesting. Is the decat pipe separate or an all in one job on these?

Decat is a separate item, some listings may include it in the sale.

The Mongoose decat is resonated so it'll reduce volume a little bit and remove a lot of the raspiness. You can get a straight pipe decat from eBay for about £30 which will make it more raspy and noisy, and will make it pop/crackle more. Resonated decats are better IMO.

Most off the shelf exhausts for the NA will bolt straight to the stock catalytic converter. Only exception I can think of is the Japspeed.

Assuming your stock cat flange still exists. Common for them to corrode where they connect to the backbox. My stock exhaust has the cat welded on.

Only issue I have had with the Mongoose, is that it doesn't sit quite level.

You only notice it if you really look but a bit annoying. It's not just mine they are all the same, think the jig may have been out.

I would buy again though. :)
