I've not actually looked!! I've had the doorcards off recently too. In all honesty if you never mentioned them I wouldn't know they were supposed to be there!

Well ive had a few days off work so i installed my boost control circuit on megasquirt, i then installed the MAC solenoid and configured it all:

Image

Image

13/14psi is a noticable difference from the usual 10psi.I did notice my stock turbo runs out of steam ~5k rpms, so boost tails off. good job ive got that new better turbo to go on. either way I'm happy to finally have my electronic boost control working.

Image

I'm also building a bluetooth serial adapter for megasquirt, and then because my cars radio is an android headunit i can install the megasquirt android app and tune/make changes from my radio touch screen which should be cool.

also ordered all new speakers, try and get some nice sounding music in the car, enjoy it a bit more. still need to source a quieter exhaust though.

well i had planned to buy an exhaust off a member on here, but theyve since gone awol. So ive bitten the bullet and im going full custom stainless setup on Wednesday.

something similar to the below. So ill be selling the Apexi GT shortly which should hopefully cover some of the custom exhaust work.

Well the exhausts done. And I'm well happy. Not too loud and not silent. Definitely a sporty sound and also glad I kept it 3" entirely

need to buy a clutch as well. anyone recommend anything for up to 400hp?

then its send block/crank/bearings/studs off to get built up. :thumleft:

Ok cheers dude. Been recommended exedy stage 2 also. So I'll have a look into both.

My mate Ian made a sleeve for my an fittings to fit his lathe so he didn't damage the threads. He then turned down some of the metal and got them welded to my rocker cover. I'm chuffed

Think I'm going to black crinkle.paint the cover (once I've cleaned it lol)

Looking great dude! I've had 2 exedy clutches break one me just FYI. Just single plate ones but I'll never use them again. Broke right at the spring retainer.

Well got my full sump setup, crank, water filler neck, oil cooler and all associated oil/coolant pipework oh and exhaust manifold/adapter plate and dump pipe from my mate chris.

ryan got me my throttle body so im nearly all sorted for the entire engine. just got to find the following:

1. Crank pulley damper (is rev2/3 the same?)
2. Lower cambelt cover (has the timing marks on it)
3. Upper rev2 cam plate (what the upper cover attaches to)
4. engine hooks (is rev2/3 the same?)
5. rear end plate sits behind the flywheel. )page 99 here
- http://shinny.co.uk/toyota/RM398E.pdf
6. dipstick and guide

Also need to figure out if i can use my alternator bracket and alternator off my rev 2 turbo engine.

engines with the machine shop right now, so waiting to get my hands on it early next week hopefully. :thumleft:

Dude I am missing that rear end plate, found someone in the states on facebook but it was $20 for part and $30 shipping. Can put you in contact if you don't get any luck in the UK. I haven't had luck finding any on ebay though.

Are you attaching a crank trigger wheel?

oh nice good to know! thanks!

im sticking with distributor for now, i had read COP just tidies up the bay/isnt really required until your over 7/800 or so HP.
my friend Chris has a full COP kit with trigger wheel attached to a damper but ive decided against it for now.

ive since managed to source crank pulley damper and dipstick setup.

You can take signal right from the dizzy for COP. That's how mine is set up. The issues I've have with coils/igniters/dizzys and ignition leads in the past I was certain I wanted to make the change. Not a big job at all but as you said not necessary until silly power.
