so after 8 hours solid of welding on my red one, the left hand side of the car is strucually sound again. just have to clean the surface rust off the wheel arches, rust kill and underseal. then do the other side.

well been busy busy busy 8)

so got all the welding done on both sides. only took pics today so the story starts halfway through somewhat. but you get the idea....

passenger side

driver side

all welded and the rear arches undersealed where i ground it back and welded.

just got to fill and paint the sills and then...

take all the suspension including the rear crossmember off, de-rust, paint, clean and underseal all the areas with surface rust, and refit.

and whilst its apart rebuild both rear calipers.

Just read the whole thread, was the v6 conversion worth it? Are u doing a separate thread for this red one?

the v6 conversion is very worth it. approx £600 for 200 (ish) hp its mental. but really i should spend a few hundred more on a LSD and taller 5th gear. gotta get that on a dyno

no this thread will be a amalgamation of any mr2 i have now and in the future. it seems only right to keep it all in one place...

Id advise to do two seperate threads for each car. Makes for easier reading and easier to keep up to date on what is hapoening with each car.

Great work tho.
