What info do you thinks missing? There's no step by step guide as the n/a engine is straightforward to remove and fitting the v6 is covered in alot of build threads.

Id be rebuilding that too with 185k on it especially the headgaskets.
Your also need modded flywheel of your choice and modded engine mount which can be got from paul woods.
Wiring you can mod yourself and was quite easy with the online guides.
Your also need to mod a few water pipes and the exhaust.

ive got a old school engineering shop up the road from me who will sort the flywheel and the engine mount should be easy. im yet to look into the wiring and waterpipes but it shouldnt be too difficult.

engine build wise im going to get it bored out to the max the engine can handle and fit forged pistons, and then find a trd supercharger cheap enough...

All reports of the trd s/c is that is just isn't very good. Inflexible and just very little bang for buck.

Budget can be as big as you like, it's still just a poorly engineered thing. If you find one in working order.

Scion charger will fit and are available fairly easily from the states but you will need to make your own mounts for it. Ive one in my garage and a scrap engine for mock up purposes if I ever get the car finished and some more spare time.

The scion charger is covered in a post on twobrutal

If your spending lots of money then u may as well start with a better block...2gr.

3vz is good for a cheap option but if your modding too then 2gr is a great starting point. Even paul woods dont use the 3vz anymore. Obviously you got the 1mz too though it is supposedly weaker than the 3vz but then if your rebuilding then it wouldnt matter.

Dont get me wrong....i am impressed by my mates 3vz. Its on par with my rev 2 turbo. The torque is great and it sounds awesome.
But if you got to spend out on rebuilds and chargers then you may want a nicer base to start from.
