[Mk2 NA] problem with automatic gear box, when cold

anyone experienced a problem with the auto when cold, I work 1 min from dual carriageway and find that when I head home, the gearbox doesn't slip into top gear. This passes quickly and never happens when the engine has warmed. Is this a minor inconvenience or a warning?

Perfectly normal . The Gearbox ECU won't select overdrive, (4th) until the engine reaches a set temperature. Most people won't notice because they're probably driving in a 30 from start.

Just to say that mines exactly the same...hell, I was all ready to post the exact same question!
