Gear stick not returning to centre position

Post by l1ca »

Hey guys, need a little help with my Rev 3 turbo.

As the title really, my gear stick does not return to the centre position, and will instead stay where ever it is put.

Any ideas what may be causing this?

Check the spring on the selector.

I put some hose over the ends which means the left to right is a little less sloppy. But should return to center easily.

I had this on my 1st MR2, it was near 10 years ago so my memory might be a little off.

At the gearbox end there was a cube that the selector arms pivoted on, removed that, cleaned it up.

Or something along those lines.
