Whining noise when applying throttle.
As stated, when I apply power/throttle to my rev1 turbo I get this whining sound from behind, similar sound to say, an alternator pulley bearing etc. Is there bearings/bushes inside the gearbox/drivetrain that could be a culprit? Thanks.

There are all sorts of bearings and bushes in and around the engine bay.
Does it do it with the car stationery and in neutral?

No, only when travelling. But if I was say, rolling down a hill without putting my foot down, there would be no noise. If i then pressed accelerate, the noise would start again.

Re: Whining noise when applying throttle.
So it only makes a noise when accelerating IN GEAR?

That'll be the supercharger then
If it's in-gear and in-motion only I would suspect something directly connected to the gearbox end of the driveline. Maybe worth getting the car up on a ramp and running it in gear, to help pinpoint where it's coming from.

Girlfriend locked in the boot?
Re: Whining noise when applying throttle.
Could be the wife..? Ejector seat install should cure it
Re: Whining noise when applying throttle.
Haha! If only it was that easy.
Just whipped rear wheels off and brake assembly, I know it should be hardish to turn the hub due to driveshaft, but I can hear a slight scrape on the Off side rear. Could be bearing? Inner/outer etc?
Rear off side calliper was seizing on too which I knew about, practically no brake pad on the side where piston hits! haha.

O/s could be the drive shaft support bearing
