Got a rev2 turbo and the engine has been fine was said to have had the water pump oil pump and cambelt changed before I bought it.

All temp gauge was fine at half way

Running well then on a longish drive at operating temp for a good 20 mins rather than my usual shorter trips on weekends the oil pressure light started flickering luckily already nearly home and then checked it this morning and once started the light stays on so shut it off and here I am

My question is is there anything which can cause low oil pressure or things to check as the pumps ment to have been replaced so hoping it's not that and the other forum posts I've read no one knows of a failed pump ever happening.

Could it be the oil filter even though it's genuine toyota or maybe the turbo return line as I fitted a different one as the one on car had touched the downpipe and didn't want to risk it causing a leak etc but the piping is the same diameter and would this cause a pressure issue anyway?

Any pipes which are prone to getting blocked maybe?

Before I got home just after the light flickered on last night the engine top end was tapping abit so hoping it's not caused damage but if that helps anyone advise me as obv no oil pressure getting to the top end I'm guessing?

The turbo has an aftermarket hardline oil intake and return line
If this was blocked or not free flowing the return line I mean would this cause this problem?

Thank you in advance feeling like giving up as proper disheartening as just started getting it running better after having loads of things not being how they should when buying it and getting it home and now this
