Manual boost controller

Post by kurkjones »

Hi all.
I've bought this boost controller and wondering if anyone can tell me where is best to plumb into? I've heard between actutator and turbo? Any advance or other options? Thanks.

This is what I've used on all my turbo cars including my mr2. Nice solid MBC which holds boost fine.

Thanks for the link, looks a lot simpler then the Turbosmart one. Get one ordered soon and see how it goes, it just gets fitted in-between actuator and turbo yes? From what I see it's only a short vacuum hose between the two, if I were to lengthen it and mount it somewhere it could be better.
Have you done this and if so where did you choose? Thanks again.

Keep the hoses as short as possible.
The longer they are the more probs you have.

Once set correctly then u won't need to adjust. I just kept running up and down a local dual carriageway then pulling off adjusting etc until I was right.
Havent needed to touch it since and that was 2yrs ago.

Alright I'll keep them short as possible then. Just ordered one now, thanks a lot for the suggestions! Love this IMOC website!

I too have one of those boost controllers and have absolutely no issues.

I used the following document when setting mine up.

Fairly easy, just have to read parts over a few times and grab an understanding of how it works. Pretty simple :)
