Rev3 Turbo lumpy on initial cold start

Post by tiff_lee »

Ok as per title my Rev3 Turbo has a very lumpy idle (spluttering etc) upon initial start from cold after 10 seconds or so it sorts itself out, if I start the car from cold with the throttle partially open there is no issue.

With no cold start injector on the Rev3 what sensors govern fuelling for a cold start?

Engine coolant temp, inlet air temp and manifold air temp sensors all have an effect on cold start fuelling.

A leaking injector could also cause cold start issues.

I did a quick google regarding leaking injectors and it did say that could also cause a fuel smell which I sometimes get when backing off the throttle..
