Depends what sorts of mounts are available for your camera. My old one could be attached with 3 screws:

I mounted my GoPro with the adhesive mount on the plastic trim behind the cubby box. So you can flip it front or back. I think mounting inside the cubby would be too low.

Thanks for the replies :thumleft:

I'm not sure if the track day organisers will allow an adhesive mount though?

I like the idea of been able to flip it front and back as well!

I see, why wouldn't they like an adhesive mount? Just in case it flies off?

It does all depend on what kinda camera you have too.

My GoPro is in that location, held by a sticky mount. Several trackways later and it hasn't moved. Javelin have never had an issue with it either :thumleft:

When I had an interior I put mine there
Worked well I used 2 bolts for my go pro.
And mounting plate was the one that the go pro was mounted on in the box with two holes drilled in it...

As for suction or adhesive I would bolt it.. it's not its not moved yet.. it's in an accident you suddenly have can Intel that can fly around the car hitting you

RE: cameras and track days, I'd recommend taking the approach people do when they mount the cameras outside the car - attached a bit of string so it and tie it to something that isn't going anywhere - if the adhesive/suction mount breaks loose, you have the string to keep the camera from flying about the car.
