Idle and flat spot? HELP

Post by MR2Kyle »

Hi folks...bit of an issue:
1. Idle at warm up can vary from 900rpm-2100rpm and will hunt from time to time.
2. After removing the manifold last weekend to do some maintenance after putting it back together whenever I'm in 1st and 2nd driving at around 2000rpm the engine gets VERY lumpy/jumpy but seems alright at any other rpm. This also happens when warm...
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm getting to my wit send with this car.
Thanks

Sorry it's just the top part of the inlet I removed...throttle body and bit that's connected to the throttle body...so I could get at the cam cover to replace the gasket.

If you've had the throttle body off, I'd check all the vac pipes on the throttle body for leaks. Failing that I'd check the TPS and ICV are working as they should.

Sorry just noticed you may be talking about a MK1.
