Post by Matt49a »

My rev 3 tubby is not boosting properly

It goes up to 3k/4k and then lags it feels like there's no turbo

I have checked all the boost pipes and they seem ok

Sounds more likely to be a different problem unless the turbo is properly fubarred. No boost at all?

Have you checked for codes?

We have replament CT26 turbos in stock if you need one or can rebuild CT20B

I would need to see it to see how bad it is, but if it was just bearings and seals I would say around £300 to £350.

Time would be about a week or just over depending on the parts needed.

Boost lag and popping/sputtering doesn't come from worn bearings or seals. Check your ignition components and your static timing first.

Sounds more like ignition, fuel or vacuum issue
