My rev 3 tubby is not boosting properly
It goes up to 3k/4k and then lags it feels like there's no turbo
I have checked all the boost pipes and they seem ok
any help would be great

pop the turbo hose off and see if the turbo turbine feels ok.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost
Sounds more likely to be a different problem unless the turbo is properly fubarred. No boost at all?
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost
There is still boost there it just lags and pops and splutters from about 3/4k
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost
How old is your ignition?
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost

Ive got no fault codes
Its a ct20b, what price would a rebuild be on it and what kind of turnaround time
Thanks

I would need to see it to see how bad it is, but if it was just bearings and seals I would say around £300 to £350.
Time would be about a week or just over depending on the parts needed.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost
Boost lag and popping/sputtering doesn't come from worn bearings or seals. Check your ignition components and your static timing first.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] No power on boost
Sounds more like ignition, fuel or vacuum issue
