Technocraft MR Spider's registery

Post by Jhiss »

Hello,

With the help from other owners, especially Ben from MR2 Ben and Pieter from the Nederlands, I've made a kind of blog to try to register all the MR Spiders produced by Technocraft in Japan.

Here is the link : http://jhiss.blogspot.fr/p/mr-spider-registery.html
(you can also reach it via www.mr2.fr/spider).
I hope you will like it :-k

If you know any owner (or registration number) who would not be listed here, don't hesitate to let me know about it.

I'd like to find here especially those 2 owners who were at the Gala Day in 2004 :
Reg : R123 BLE
Image
Reg : N664 BNU
Image

Thanks for your help :thumleft:

Ps: As I'm French my english is not always correct, so don't hesitate to tell me about the mistakes I've made. It would be better to have a web page in good English.

There is also a red one in the UK as well, with a cream leather interior. Have only seen it once and never again....

Hi Jhiss,

I cannot help finding uk owners but I do have some interesting pics from Japan that are on my computer at home. I will upload them tonight and you can copy them if they help your register?
I'm sure one is a turbo conversion with a removable hardtop.

Thanks, Dan

Are you sure it was an MR Spider and not a Convertible Ferrari replica ? (not based on an MR Spider by the way).
Anyway I'll be interested to know more about it whenever you find any information.

OK thanks a lot.
You can also send them on my e-mail address [email protected] if you want.

All the MR2 used by Technocraft were N/A and none of them had a removable hard top.

But I'm still interested in what you have for me.
It would be interesting if we could have a removable hard top on them. Even if the Spider/Speedster spirit would not be there anymore ..

Very good news :D :thumleft: Happy to know another Spider's owner.
So I made a mistake thinking your car was Mario's old one.
Well, that's one more in the registery then !
I put it from the 1st to the 20th row, waiting for more information about it (=> PM).

Apologies it wasn't clear the owner made a hardtop for it.

I've just uploaded the photos into this thread for all to see some may be of use to you:

They are photos I've found on the web some may be owner by people in here or your website/register.

Red color was only available on the latests models (From december 1998 to august 1999). Only 7 were produced in this period of time and they had the Beams engine !

I had the owner on the phone and he wishes to open his museum next year.
Certainly a good place to go to when it's open ;-)

I don't have a copy but I understand that the December 2004 issue of Japanese Performance Magazine has a write up and pics of the Gala Day on pages 110-114. That might be of some assistance. Does anyone on here have one?
