[Mk2] [Generic] Instrument cluster bulb size?

Post by Pockets »

Hi!

One of the lights behind the instrument cluster just went on my car, I found a guide to say how to get at it, but it doesn't mention the type of bulb. Does anyone know what sort I'd need?

Thanks!

If it's the bulbs used to illuminated the dials in the cluster you're after they are T10 501 bulbs.

If you want to go LED whilst you've got the cluster out, I've had pretty good results with a good spread of light with these LEDs

The warning lamps, other than the low fuel warning light, are T5 286 bulbs. From memory I think the low fuel level uses a T10.

Again you can go led with these (but don't replace the low fuel light with an led)

But be warned led warning lights are much brighter than ordinary lamps.
