brake pad shims

Post by drunknmunky »

ok guys,
am replacing my front brakes this weekend (leaky caliper seals) but one problem, it currently doesn't have any shims between pads and pistons.
So I have bought them, but don't know which way they go on, serrated one nearest pad or piston?
Thanks people
Andy

According the the bgb the serrated one is sandwiched between the back of the pad and the larger flat shim. I recommend lightly coating each side of the serrated shim with anti seize paste (copper grease)
