Self build aero improvements

Post by bri0905 »

Hi

Anyone done any self/home build aero improvements?

Such as, front splitters, rear diffusers, canards, vented front/rear wings?

Been reading a fair bit online about aerodynamics and wondering if anyone has done much themselves?

Just read from start to finish, great thread.

Liked the flat front he built.

Love to see more of anyone else's efforts?

There's a thread on here somewhere that Shinny had some fantastic input on, i'm sure it showed the f40 lid to be a waste of time a BGWs are only useful if they are taller than the roof. Something along those lines anyway, Pm Shinny, he's always very helpful :thumleft:

Some good reading there, and nice to see some kind of evidence to how effective these add ons are, rather than just opinions.

Already got the ask sport bonnet and scoop, seems like it's time to make a splitter/frunk flat floor to get the best from it.

Yeah, saw yours for sale. Shame it's been painted I think that may put the carbon bonnet crew off. I understand why you did it though.

Bought mine from a guy who got it from Nathan of century Motorsport, it was damaged when his car tried to leave the trailer in a motorway bump I believe. So needs some repair really and is far from tidy!

If any car could pull it off mine could. Unless you are talking in the literal sense of "going gay" in which case i'll most likely give it a miss
