[Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting TRD rear brace with Greddy IC Pipes

Post by Scott Barton »

Ok...I have a slight problem.
I got my hands on a brand new TRD rear brace but have run into an issue with fitting it. The issue is that it won't clear the intercooler pipes in the engine and no matter how much i try and angle the pipes, adjust the hoses etc, it still sits on top! I can't leave it like it as it will ruin the pipe and/or the brace.

Am thinking of cutting pipes down so that they sit further down...anyone else had the same issue with a TRD brace?? Any pointers?

I had this issue with mine too. Sold the brace in the end so never sorted it.

Berk cold pipes are supposed to clear TRD braces, although I have no personal experience.

Can you use those little spacer blocks on the turrets that some MR2's have from new?

I bought those ones, and the Berk pipe arrived the same day. Just need to put it all together now. :thumleft:

Good stuff. I bought one from GTSChris. Having an 'MR2 day' this week to do some jobs and this is top of the list. :thumleft:
