Got them on my car, done the Le Mans trip twice with them on, 4000 miles.

Are there any poly bushes in your suspension? Good job you're reading this as after 4000 miles in a mr2 you must be deaf! Lol

Do a forum search and you should find a lot of posts about them.

Have them on mine, feel ok, not massively different from stock really. Lower obviously.

Thought I'd recycle this thread rather than start a new one since it's related to Apex lowering springs.

Just wondered if anyone has any side on profile shots of the MR2 on the 30mm lowering springs BUT with 16 inch wheels.

I've seen a fair few pics with them on 17s and the arch looks cool (in my opinion). I've got a feeling that with 16s that the gap will look too big (especially at the front) so I'm not really sure what my options are with getting that nice stance that the 17s get.

Pics and/or suggestions please! :thumleft:

Here you go. 16" Enkei RP01s, Apex 30mm lowering springs on Black Bilstein struts, Rainsport3 tyres in 205/50 & 225/50:

Ace! Thanks stu.

Do you think it's the tyre profile that is key to reducing that gap?

I run 45s and some of the pics I've seen seem to have the cars sitting a lot higher than yours. I'd be more thank happy if the stance was as yours is!

Definitely, the chunky tyre profile makes the gap much better. I had 205/50 front and 225/45 rear before. The fronts looked much better than the rears.

The higher profile tyre gives a better choice in tyre make, closes the arch gap up nicely (by about 1cm), and helps the car absorb the bumps better. Not really noticed any loss in handling but then I don't really push the car too hard.

Exactly the same set up as me, albeit with 16" 300ZX wheels. Nice and chunky. Can't wait to get them on the car. Looking good there mate.
