Just requested call back from AIB
Other half 27 had licence 2 years. Shame insurance companies can't take into account she won't ever be let loose in it on her own and I will slap her if she does anything dangerous lol.

Re: Best insurance for engine mods
I went with AIB as they were cheapest for me, and included everything I wanted. All mods declared. £1100, limited mileage. Im only 24 so you shouldn't have any issues. Awesome customer service too

£1800!
I'm paying less than £400 on the Mazda on a no-NCB limited mileage policy. Unlimited mods(no cages) up to 320hp. This is with need2insure

31, 9 years NCB, reasonable mod list... <£200 with Flux Direct. (Car is in a nice part of Berkshire, always on a driveway and declared less than 5000 miles a year)

I went with adrian flux again. The lived up to their claim of beating any other quote.
Performance direct came out close to £300 dearer

Re: Best insurance for engine mods
£685 is more than I wanted to pay. But the 1700 with Mrs is silly its cause she had licence 2 years 27 no fast car experience.

Re: Best insurance for engine mods
AIB quoted me £2300
Flux wouldn't quote at all.
Classicline said it had to be a second car.
Sky didn't call back.
Went with Diamond c/o Compare the meerkat - £650 fully comp, inc windscreen, £1K stereo cover & 3 months euro cover.
All mods declared. Accident declared. No NCB. Locked garage. 5K miles.
I'm 46 but have only been driving 3.5 years & only had my own car, [MR2] for 1.

Starting to feel like being robbed.
Engine mods are tiny compared to most of you.
Induction kit
Hybrid ct26
Uprated cooler
Rev3 engine and box in rev2 shell.

By the time you add in your seats, wheels, tyres, exhaust etc, the mods and value all add to the total.
