My MkII Rev 3 Turbo came with only one key, how can I get a backup? Is it ok to order a blank key and get it cut or does it need to be coded?

Just a blank is needed and cut. Or you could get one from Toyota directly for not much and will be already cut for your barrel

Ordered a blank key from the nearest Toyota dealer, £10 including postage! Pleasantly surprised considering replacement keys for newer cars cost £150-200 these days.
