I've just weighed a Stock Rev 2 3SGTE Rod and Piston assembly (including Studs/nuts, Piston rings and gudgeon pin) and it was:
1.35kg Without big end bearing
1.4kg With big end bearing
Has anybody weighed an Eagle H beam forged rod, and JE forged piston? with pin/rings etc. including the ARP bolts if possible?
I'd really like to know how much difference in weight there is.
Especially as the stock rods can handle more than enough power for me anyway, it would only be a significant weight saving that would make the Eagle rods worthwhile really......
Any weight info on other forged piston/rod combo's also welcome...........
Cheers

OK, answered my own question,
Here is the info for anyone else looking in the future:
So Eagle rods are worthwhile over stock if you're looking to lose some weight and rev harder
Piston/ Conrod Weight
OEM Rod/Piston Assembly inc bearing 1.4 kg
OEM Rod/Piston Assembly No bearing 1.35 kg
OEM Con Rod - With Nut/stud 0.8 kg
OEM Piston - With Pin + rings + circlips 0.6125 kg
Eagle Rod Weight (From Website, includes ARP bolts) 0.555 kg
JE Piston Weight (Just Piston no rings etc. - From JE) 0.351 kg
JE piston with rings pin etc. (From JE) 0.483 kg
Total Forged Weight 1.038 kg
Weight saving 0.312 kg
Weight saving (Total Four Piston/Rods) 1.248 kg
Con-Rod Saving Eagle vs Stock 0.245 kg
Piston Saving JE Vs Stock 0.1295 kg

There was a thread on the american forum some time ago, i believe by real street performance that had all the actual weights of aftermarket rods in.
IIRC eagles were some of the lightest.

Got confirmation today that the 0.555kg Eagle Rod weight is including the ARP fasteners, so the figures above are correct
