Re: will this fit a rev 1
I think the turbine housing is ok, but I think you should go for a bit larger compressor side. I'd say something like a 50 trim in a 0.50 housing.
On a side note, if your thinking of buying a T3 type turbo and fitting it to your car - I have a set of the block adapter fittings you'll need for oil feed and return. Yours for 40 quid. They allow you to fit braided lines off your block to and from the turbo

Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!
Just say NO to small turbos!

Not if you just want to bolt it up ??? simply wont' fit !
If your going for a tubular manifold or T3 adapter plate on yours, oil lines, downpipe, external or recirculated wastegate, then it will fit.

Re: will this fit a rev 1
is it worth me spending £160 for it or should i just buy one specifically for a 3s-gte
Re: will this fit a rev 1
hello nick, Im also a bryant! how odd!!!
Anyhow I was gona get the T3 hybrid he does, but dont forget I think all his turbos need external wastegates plus downpipe made up, I went for a uprated used CT26 instead of the route your going down as cash wast at hand, But If you have around 500quid goind you will be able to do it, the turbos itself are very good!
If you need any further help on this im on msn at [email protected], or you can call me on 07736942369

Re: will this fit a rev 1
i wnated to get something with a bit more room for scope i asked if the garrett would fit because i found a place in the us for £160 delivered. what would somebody recommend me getting
Re: will this fit a rev 1
if it were me and money wasnt a problem I would go down the route your on, T3 turbos are cheaper and more flexiable than the toyota units, but the initial outlay on parts to get it sorted and working will cost you the same as a rebuilt ct26, you could go for a CT20 with steel shaft that would be good for abit more boost and fit straight on with no hassel!

Sorry to butt in...
But from that last statement Merlin, am I to believe a CT20 will fit on my rev 1 with no mods what so ever?

Re: will this fit a rev 1
yer! lol
the standard unit has a ceramic shaft which is S#%t!!! so idealy need a steel rebuild, the only thing u will find is that it has an extra stud on the exhaust flange which will not be used, besides from this straight fit!!
regards
Rob
Ps theirs one on ebay, not rebuilt though search under ct20 or gt4

You can't do this ! The turbos are completely different. The T3 turbo is a garrett based unit that fits to a T3 flange.... in order to make this fit, you would need an adapter plate to change from your current flange to a t3 flange ( at least ) or a 4 branch / tubular manifold, then new oil feed pipes and fittings. Then you have no means of controlling boost and would have to fit an external wastgate or loop back for an internal ( like stock ! ) into that setup. Then theres fabricating the downpipe to your existing exhaust.
Your looking at £1k just to set that turbo up even though the initial outlay cost is pennies.
For those that already have a T3 flanged setup, its cheap as chips interchanging between all the turbos.
