Low mr2 steep drive HELP!!!

Post by bolton »

Hi
I have just brought a house with a garage so want to tuck my mr2 away!!
Now i have a problem, the drive is very steep and the pavement joins the drive almost in a point! My mr2 turbo has a full border kit fitted and also tein superstreets!
Now i can raise the suspension thats no problem but anyone got any other ideas? Heres a photo of said drive its worse than it looks! Lol!

Where did you bring the house from?

Can you take it back and get a more suitable one instead?

the answer would be not having the car so stupidly low, how does it cope with speedbumps? our drive is steep straight up from the footpath and I have no problems with a border front bumper and eibach springs

Yeah speedbumps are a nightmate have to angle the car! I will raise the car up but my missus mk3 mr2 wont go down it either and thats standard height.
Its the skirts that catch on mine!
It catches cause of the slope of the pavement and slope of the drive! Lol!

cut down scaffold boards will gain you a few inches, long term you'll have to look at reprofiling the edge of the drive

depends how much you want to spend I think - there is some one making a kit that raises the front end at the touch of a button - like the ferrari etc. I did have the info. but cannot find it any more so maybe a google search would help - however a bit of re landscaping on the drive way would probably be your best bet.

My drive is 30/35 degrees, my house is lower than the street level, even with std suspension the front tried to dig up the drive at the bottom.

As above use planks with blocks to take up the gap underneath for strengthening, make them long and you should get down.

Also clenching ones botty helps as your inching down !!! Eerrr that sounds wrong!
