So recently i bought myself a Fuji Leg R catback, and after taking it to my trusty local exhaust specialists, they wrecked the cat studs on the exhaust, paused, then told me to get a decat pipe.
.. and get it fitted elsewhere.So, patiently i bought a Berk downpipe to go with it, brand new, and dropped it off at a TVR
& Porsche specialists (with past rep for Jap cars) before i went on holiday.Got back and went there to be spun a whole line today on how every single bolt will snap and the job
*could* end up at £800 and they didnt want to commit to the job until they spoke to me (although they all sat around and didnt have 1 customer by the looks of it!)Basically I know its a tough job, but I am really struggling to find someone who isnt talking absolute BS, ruin the car or just trying to rip me off.
Im a competent DIY'er, but would rather pay someone.
.. this last place came in at £90 per hour, so im happy to pay about £200 for a good job.Does this sound reasonable, and moreso, is it REALLY the case that even the downpipe-turbo bolts will snap?
if OK, then can anyone recommend someone trustworthy in the sussex area?
