I take your point, but the way I look at it is that every time we drive our cars on the road they are at risk of being damaged. Whether it is a stone, pothole or other vehicles.

Very true. It is a brilliant idea though the MR2 is a pain waiting for the screen to clear, especially for those who use the car over the winter months it would be a very useful mod.

If anyone is a member of any other European MR2 site, please post a link to this thread.

I would do it myself, but I have no foreign language skills.

I know what you mean. My MR2 is still in bits too.

I am beginning to suffer withdrawal symptoms, I sometimes think my wife's 90bhp mk4 tdi golf is fun to drive.

This is what I mean. Leave the MR2 off the road for some time and you think these other cars are fast, until you are back in your MR2. [-X

We need our MR2's back on the road mate.

I am unsure how it would work. Could you have a heated windscreen listed as a modification on your insurance.

That way, they would have to replace it with a like for like rather than a bog standard, or at least give you back the difference...

Maybe one of the several insurance experts can advise.... :?:

Just get price to £150-£200 and watch them fly off shelf.

There is some interest, but not enough numbers yet to go ahead.

I would have thought that there would have been more interest from people who use their MR2 for track days.

I won't write the group buy off just yet though.

Sorry Chris, there just aren't the numbers to go ahead with the heated screen at this moment in time.

I really thought that the people who track their MR2's would have jumped at this because they usually remove the heater and related parts to save weight.

I'd be interested in one for my full time track car (rev 4 turbo).

Do you offer a heated polycarbonate option? 8)
