[Mk2] [NA] dipstick issue rev 4 na!!

Basically, the shroud that you insert the dipstick into has somehow broken off and the only thing holding it in place is the dipstick itself, so acquiring an accurate oil reading is very difficult as i have to feed it through the shroud out of the engine bay and then try and line it up (which is also a problem as you cant see the hole and have to feel for it) and insert it, but no idea of the correct height due to the shroud!!!

easy fix??

pain in the ass???

plus im going to le mans next week so would be good to get it done before then!!:S

I assume you mean the tube? If so it's just one bolt and pressed in. Took me 5 mins to change when mine snapped this year.

If you go to your local Toyota dealership, they can get you one overnight. Or the same day if you get there before 12. But it's past 12 now!
