Does anyone have cruise control?

Post by JD »

It seems even rarer than EBFD or traction control

Some of the rev1 and 2 tubby had some pretty cool extras for the day. My friends `92 rev2 had auto headlights as an OE Option, only seen it on one tubby since, another rev2.

Isnt that a rev4 onwards thing?

Cruise control seems like a pretty useful thing to have, but maybe not with the standard mr2 gearing! The only car ive ever seen with it was a us spec turbo that was at pacific works once. Didnt even realise that it was available on jdm cars.

Edit:

Oh wow, pretty cool. Sounds simmilar to the brake steer stuff you see on modern hatches!

One of my MR2 turbos has TRC. Looking at that mr2oc link it looks like my TRC car might have ebfd as well....?

I don't know about the brakes stuff but if you have cruise control there'll be another stalk on the same side as the indicators/headlights with a push button on the top of it.

I've actually got TRC and EBFD on my car. The extra stuff in the frunk means the normal rev 3 plastic covers for around the spare wheel don't fit, I've now just realised why I can't get one that works on my car!!
