[Mk2] [NA] Engine lid material ???
Hi, the engine lid material, is that for sound proofing or thermal proofing, anyway mine has just about disintegrated, do I need to replace this or not? Any advantages in having it or not, any advice would be welcome, thanks n advance

Given that the turbo engine lid doesn't have this
(I assume you have an NA
?), I'm not completely sure what it's purpose is

Yes I've got a n/a and I'm not sure what the purpose of it is or if I need it or not, I'm assuming this was only present on the uk models, and was a thermal thing maybe, just not sure

I believe the material exists on the G-limited too.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
So it's an NA thing, not UK vs JDM thing.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
