A Genuine Replica Toms Rear Bumper

Post by l1ca »

Bought a replica Toms rear bumper a few weeks ago, semi fitted it and then found a genuine one for sale. So, being the brand whore I am the replica is up for grabs.

Same bumpers as is listed here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-19 ... 3cd568706b

I did have this temporarily fitted to my car before the genuine one came around and I was happy with the fitment. This has not been sprayed, only test fitted and never driven with it on, its for all intensive purposes brand new.

I want £150 for this, this includes delivery.

I don't think I'd use it for any "intensive purposes" so can I have it cheaper?

Haaaaaaa.

"For all intensive purposes" - A common saying extending from the phrase "for all intents and purposes".

Both translate to "in every practical sense or virtually"

Actually it's a misconstruction of the popular phrase 'all intents and purposes,' as it doesn't really make sense.

I usually try holding back the grammar nazi in me but sometimes he just has to come up for air

On a more relevant note, I've just seen the price new on ebay

What does "Genuine replica" mean?

Is that like a vegetarian meal containing real beef pieces?

It means this bumper is a "genuine replica".
Pretty simple play on words really.

Which part is catching you out?

Same :-k

I'm guessing it is "genuinely not a real TOMs item", and hence is actually just a "replica".

Might be worth sharing who made it? It does look like a good fit.

To clarify : item is a replica bumper.

NOT A GENUINE TOMS.

Seems as though the post was a little hard to understand, not entirely sure why, it was a very simple play on words.

No idea who makes it, its an ebay item which I purchased, the original post has a direct link to.

](*,) Indeed. why include the word genuine on a non genuine item.

Lighten up pumpkin, it was a simple play with words, hardly the theory of relativity.

I didnt realise it was so difficult to understand. My bad. #-o
