what brake pads? mintex or ebc ultimate

Post by dan mkii »

Ok I need some new pads as I think my pattern part ones are ruined after the trackday.

I really want ones which dont put out much dust as there ruining my polished lips.

Ive had ebc in the past which produced hardly any dust. ( not ultimate thoe )

never had mintex havent heard anythink bad about them thoe.

So anyone with experience with these please give me your opinion and review .

There mainly for road use with a few trackdays thrown in.

Out of the two you've listed I would go for oem Toyota pads and get a sealant for your lips, 1 to protect from dust and salt etc and 2 to aid with cleaning

But if you're going to regularly attend track days i would be going for a better quality pad again, thing is with a track inspired pad they tend to give of most dust!

If you dont fancy buying from america whifbitz seem to be the place to get porterfield. But they didnt seem to be very interested in my business when I contacted them.

I'd reccomend carbotech uk all day though, when I spoke to them they were more than happy to help.
