Help Identifying a strength bar?
I've looked down in my engine bay today and can see some kind of diagonal bar that is down near the air intake, and it is rotted with rust.. almost not even attached.. what bar is this? is it a cancer bar?
Re: Help Identifying a strength bar?
Yup, sounds it. Absolutely piece of p1ss to change. Not really convinced they do a deal anyway.

Re: Help Identifying a strength bar?
are they necessary ? i've had 2 people tell me now they are useless..
Re: Help Identifying a strength bar?
Ive not read much into it, I imagine its not just there for nothing but they probably don't do anything with the rust lol
Im going to be looking at some ultra racing stuff to see if they have a better option as they do a lot of different bracing

Re: Help Identifying a strength bar?
They do make a difference in maintaining the rigidity of the chassis. I would very much recomend having them. as well as front and rear strut braces.
Re: Help Identifying a strength bar?
Can't see why Toyota would fit them if they weren't required.
Either buy some new ones, or get some stainless ones.
