Head is back from the engine and Simon has bolted it to the block. The cam cover will be back from the powder coaters this week as well. Just got to order a clutch, a breather seal and the seals for the injector rail and all ready to put together and bolt in.

Was thinking of taking it to The Father Days car show at Harewood house mate.

Popped into Simon's to drop the last bits off for the build tonight. The cam cover is back from the powder coaters and looks mint! Forgot to take any pictures but I have just gone for silver but it looks a quality finish and looks like it will last. I went for the Exedy clutch in the end as it seems to be the only problems people have are with the uprated ones.

The plan is for the engine to be finished during the week and then next Saturday drop the engine in.

Engine is all ready to drop in tomorrow.

Cleaned up the engine bay as 20 years of oil and general crap had left it needing a clean. Hopefully will be running tomorrow.

I'm going down South West, so about 600 miles from you. Have got lots of family in Yorkshire so I will be popping into YvS when I'm up here.

Well.....

The engine is 100% in, running and performing faultlessly.

I've even done 53 miles of running in miles.

I got to Simon's at about 10 this morning and he had bolted the engine in already! By 11 it was running. A few hours later everything was bolted on and ready for test driving. I was a bit nervous taking it out the first time but it performed perfectly.

I cannot thank and recommend Simon at YvS enough. To say I am happy with what he has done is an understatement.

No photos yet as it needs a good wash, as pretty much all the running in miles have been in the wet.

Good to see that back on the road seen it laid up at Yvs last couple of trips it stands out because it's like a mirror image of mine , I was there last Saturday cadging a bolt off Simon, was you one of lads there?
