Yes: the one between your ears. It's cheaper also.

Turbo timers are a bit useless really. Unless you're literally driving on full boost for a good few minutes and then immediately slamming on the brakes and turning off the engine you just don't need it.

Also, in the UK it's illegal to leave a motor vehicle unattended on a public road with the engine running.

I removed my turbo timer and haven't missed it.

Turbo timers are pointless. Just drive off boost got a few mins after a hard run.

If you change your mind I have just removed what looks like a factory fit original turbo timer from my car, complete with original wiring harness and switch...a rare JDM replacement for yours if you want to keep one....

Will be taking some pictures and putting it up for sale on here shortly :thumleft:

Turbo Timer Police called Peter :D
I cannot see how a turbo timer if installed correctly invalidates your insurance - if its wired in correctly it cuts as soon as the handbrake is dropped so no scally wag will jump in your car and drive off ( in a straight line as your steering lock will be on as they keys will be in your hand at this point)

Correct. Utter internet b0ll0x. However, using it as inteded falls foul of the law in two places:

Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) Regs. 1986 -

Reg 98 makes it an offence to leave a vehicle engine running unnecessarily while the vehicle is parked.

Reg 107 makes it an offence to leave an engine running in an unattended vehicle.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, a theft of an unattended vehicle with engine running will most likely result in a Foxtrot Oscar from the insurance company's claims dept.

i did a bit of research on these, apparently not from the factory at all, but made by a company (their name eludes me) who made them to look as though they were from the factory.

EDIT:

Image

Turns out there not genuine they were made by Data systems to look as genuine as possible.
