what are these called

ok i know its a pen holder, but before when i was test driving an mr2 i had a go of one with the gear guide. you know that chrome plate what guides you through your gears???

well what are they called and where do we get them from? i want it go with my short shifter which is quality, installed it 2 days ago.

I don't know where you get them or what they are called, but a few people on here have said they are fairly pants and make it awkward to change gear.

but they look good :)

i got a shiney quick shift bar and want show it off :)

when my new gaitor comes i might try some modifications to my old one see what i can do :)


any one have pics of there gear sticks? i want ideas :D

I agree with you there, I think they look good. Don't let anyone put you off too much if you really want to get one, go for it and see for yourself. Maybe you'll have a different opinion about them. :D

They're called gear gates and Ferrari primarily use them to help you make sure you go into the right gear, as a new box is rather expensive from them.... #-o

Supposed to be a PITA for everyday use.

its a compramise, looks for gear change hinderance. choice is yours.
