Twosrus Tie Rods

Post by SuperRedMR2 »

Does anyone know if you can replace the rose jointed ends on the stainless adjustable rods?

Cheers

So it basically replaces both ends, how much for bits?

The rose joints replace the inner ends. £18.00 each. Boot £3.90 each.

The outer joints are standard AW11 front outer steering rack ends.

Thanks for that Pete. Just gone to fit them this morning and noticed that one of the spacers is bent so going to need one of those as well. Have you got any at the moment?

I can make those but they would be much higher quality, how long are they?

I make them myself, the rose joints they use look identical to the ones I sell for £2.70 and are not really best suited to use under a car, they dont have boots as peter suggests either.

What type of rose joint is peter supplying for £18 each?

The ones I make are far lighter and better quality.

I did read the thread carefully, they are not supplied by them with boots, the fact you supply them with boots as an afterthought is neither here nor there.

I supply the rosejoints not make them, I make the arms that connect the two joints, not sure why you are being as ass over this?

The twosrus quality is just fine, considering this is the first bit of play that I have in 3 years, i'll settle for their quality.

Thats fine but other people might want better quality at half of the price.

What's the lead time on those Peter?

I've got to find the motivation and get under my car to remove mine first ](*,)

Took the passenger side off first tonight - applied hardly any pressure to the rose joint nut and this happened -

Ignore the carpet, i'm still at my parent's.

Looks like the material has been bad for quite a while.

I would imagine the car would have been written off if this snapped during a trip out.

Now, I need the middle and inner, both sides.

Exactly what are we looking at there Red? Hoping that's not the end of the middle section of the tie rod.

Just out of interest, are both of your tie-rods still 100% straight? I only ask because one of mine has bent slightly on the thread where I think yours has broken Red.
