[Mk2] [Turbo] How much and best grade oil?

Post by Jaffacake »

I think it's time for an oil change as it's about 8months old now just wondering if anyone knows the amount of oil il need rev1 turbo. Also what grade of oil will be best ie.10/40 5/30 ect, it's done 76k miles. Cheers in advance :thumleft:

Ester synthetics are the best, 5w40 or 10w40 would be fine. I think its 3.9l without the filter change and a bit more with the filter change.

I always use Opie Oils, very competitive prices and good service. Input your car details here and it'll show you your options.

Another vote for Opie. Standard turbo road car 5w-40 or hard use/tuned turbo 10w-50. :thumleft:

10w60 is pointless, it is way too thick. :thumleft:

Now that's a enlightening read... :thumleft:

If I changed the current oil... 10/60.. To say ... 10/50 ... Would that change the mapping on the car..... :-k
