drove back on sunday from London to Manchester.
The most scariest ride i have ever done ever....
is there anyone who would know why the back end wiggles about at 70mph while trying to switch lanes???
is it the bushes or arms that need changing?
i think i didnt describe it properly.
when you tow a caravan and you go too fast and it starts to move side to side so you ease off the throttle and it settles down. well thats what it was like, like the mr2 was the caravan. the back end was all over the place.

Sounds like worn bushes or possibly tram lining? In which case you may find that your tyres are quite wide or again, may need aligning.
my fronts are 215/40/17 and rear 235/40/17
ive been advised to go see pete in barnsley... which i will do once i get some time off from work. but the terrifying journey there i dont want to think about.

Hi
Sounds like a suspension bolt or mounting is not right, or alignment is all upside-backdown.
Come down anytime that's good for you. PM or call me to discuss.
Check the alloys are tight before you set off. Also nip one off and check if the centre bore on them is enormous, if the bolt holes look good and not in any way elliptical/oval, and if they do/don't have spigots.
I had rotas with no spigots once which were much too large centre bore, and it was wavy at the rear at motorway speed too. Spigots and carefully properly tightened wheel nuts fixed it
It's by no means a certain cause and do go and see a specialist, but it's worth doing a five minute check before you set off that might save you some fear!
I know this sounds stupid.. but could it not just be the downforce of the spoiler ? I can definately feel the car being pressed into the ground when im on the motorway

Aerodynamic downforce effects don't come into play until well above motorway speeds (and I do mean well above)... So no it won't be the rear spoiler as this doesn't do anything for your car at road legal speeds
It sounds like a geometry issue to me
As my mechanic friend is not too far away from me i thought id take it to him to get his opinion...
He said both rear wheel bearings are out and the circled bushes have play in them.
What are the circled bushes called???
