[Mk2] [NA] Interferance through stereo

Post by stevomc1985mr2 »

Please help! I have a 94 rev 2 with active premium stereo system. I have just fitted an alpine double din unit and am having serious interferance/ whining whilst engine is running.. I have looked through all previous posts and tried averything. Ive even tried running a ground and 12V feed straight from battery to head unit and still no luck.

I see many people have had this issue in the past although no one seems to have a solution.

Thanks in advance for help ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Not familiar with the active system but usually a ground issue. Have you tried earthing the hu to the chassis with as short a cable as possible.

I've got amp subs and door speakers and initially had loads of interference from the steering ehps but grounding the rca's fixed that was more a issue with my hu which is a pioneer.

just had this problem mate.

99% sure it will be to do with the iso lead...i read somewhere that on occasions one of the earth cables gets wired in wrong(no idea why)

i just changed my iso cable and it cured it
