You just need a certain amount of money going through the account, I still have a personal account like Joe Public.

It's not something they shout about, you have to apply for it online and like I say if there is enough cash flow they will give you a discount on your charges.

Looks like £1500 per month, it says here that £1500 will get you 2.9%.

Like I say I have never upgraded my account to a business account but it seems these are merchant rates, click here and apply..Real easy.

Any chance you guys can start a new thread re Paypal rules guys please? They're all valid points and worth discussing, but it has gone way off topic,as the key point if me starting the thread was to name and shame a member in here who has screwed over members by stealing their money.

I think when advertising stating the base price and full price including paypal fees could be useful but whether or not the buyer sends as a gift or not is entirely down to them, its their money, me personally would never send as a gift as its not worth the hassle, its usually only a few quid extra for peace of mind. Does it mean you wont still be screwed, no but at least you have a leg to stand on when you report it to paypal.

I have however almost forgot to cover the fees when sending money hence why I think to state the price with fees applied is a good idea if you intend on receiving payment through paypal.

What's really puzzling with this whole matter is that the exhaust was posted for sale a few weeks earlier, but I hadn't seen it. I posted a wanted thread, and he inboxed me that he had one, agreed a price,I laid, and he emailed me to confirm he'd received payment and would now be posting.
Can't understand why he'd email to confirm he'd received payment- why would you do that if you're gonna take the money and then f--k off with it,and particularly surprising bearing in mind that to be posting for sale items he's a paid up premium member.
He also didn't request gift payment,I paid it that way to keep cost down,(stupidly in hindsight, but that's history)
All very bizarre, but he's been told his deadline to respond before he I take it further.
Great shame when someone brings down the reputation and trust we have in each other as MR2 lovers who use what is a bloody good club/forum to share our passion for our cars.

I too have been waiting for weeks for a set of Rev3 lights from Wil.

In two separate PMs, Wil assured me he would post soon and apologised for the delay. Still haven't seen the item yet.

My last PM to him is unread.

Now that's REALY bizarre and unexpected isn't it!
Just out of the blue,or any comma from him? And has he read your last PM yet?
I went to report him for theft today but it was too busy for me to wait as on my way to work. Maybe there's a glimmer of hope for my exhaust to just show up out of the blue then. I'll be reporting it Monday anyway if nothing has appeared.

i had a similar problem but i was the seller, i sent off some callipers from a rev3 i broke and the buyer didn't receive them, at the time i wasn't on here that often so hadn't checked PM's etc...i'd sent the callipers off the day the money was paid to me, when i came back on here aaaaaaages later, i had a load of unread PMs and posts just like yours, i sent them recorded and signed for but the buyer didn't receive them for around 3-4 weeks if i recall, it was purely post office error but not being on the forum for around a month made it look like i was trying to steal his money. which i obviously wasn't. i'm not saying that's the case here, just saying that these f*ck ups do happen.

Nothing recent. On two occasions, he said he had arranged for a courier to collect. First time, no courier and he had to chase them up. Second time, he said he'd get onto it. Seems like they finally collected the package for delivery.

Collection date on the label was 22/8/13

Hopefully you get your exhaust ok. And if there has been an issue stopping parts being sent off then if anyone finds out then post it on here, and it may save further issues or fallouts. Fingers crossed it all gets sorted out for seller and buyers.
