I hope so mate, I just want it to scare me that's all... I want a buzz from it.

If I don't get that when it's finished then god knows what I need lol!

Haha yeah that is a sure way to drop your ass on the road lol!

I point blank refuse to do passenger at the best of times after that bad crash I was in as a passenger 3 years back. (The orange focus st)

I think if I did that I'd sell the bloody car out of fear lol

It's amazing how not being in control affects us

Good to see that choices are made on turbo etc, cant imagine what it will be like

On the note of being a bad passenger, that is 100% me 8-[
However when i got a shot in your car i guess everything went too fast to feel the normal bad passenger symptoms (in a good way)
And between me and you, i was missing something aswell which you hadnt noticed til you stopped the car

Been a while since ive updated on the progress of the car... its been a busy few months with work and other things. So ill give a quick update on whats going on.

Sent the car away around Oct/Nov time in preparation for the new turbo set up and fuel system. This allowed Jay (J-1) to get the parts he bought from it for his soon to be built track car.

Car going away yet again... I can honestly say i hate seeing it leave.

Once it was stripped of the parts i had sold and awaiting the new Turbo kit coming over the winter the decision was made to rebuild the engine to ensure that for this summer it would be on point.

So thats been done. (obviously still awaiting to be ran in pending the rest of the work being done.. waiting on parts as per usual)

In the mean time my Dad's R32 GTR got its new coilpacks (Splitfire) after one began to break down on us last time it went onto the Dyno.

It made 687hp @ the rear wheels (4wd disengaged to allow for Dyna-Pack equipment to be used)

This equates to a rough but realistic 780hp give or take. It still has the 2.0Bar setting to be ran on the Dyno which will be interesting in a few weeks when its coming back out to be ran up. (weather permitting and no salt on the roads)

Then on the 3rd of March i got two awesome deliveries.. one being the new Turbo kit and one being the new daily car.

Thanks to Lauren's review recently on the new Rav4 i was intrigued to see what it was like. I had been looking at various similar cars like the X-Trail, Evoque and X3 etc but once i had taken the 2.0L one a test drive i realised i really liked it. So ordered the 2.2L one just for the little extra oomph
 and opted for different shoes on it and some side steps for it. (waiting for the backorder of wind deflectors to come in also)
I have plans for it though already. I'd like to either put bigger wheels on it or spacer those ones out so it sits a bit wider but i absolutely love it. Its finished really nice inside and it has all the toys i need to keep me amused everyday at work. Oh and ill have a word with Adrian at Fensport to see about a little tweak aswell.

Back to the MR2, im waiting on a second Manifold coming as unfortunately they made me one for a gen2 engine so i had to send the one pictured back. I should have my gen3 one in a week or so.
Credit to Full-race, as much as it was their mistake they have been extremely on the ball with ammending the issue very quickly.
Im also waiting on the fuel rail and injectors ive ordered coming also and then the fuel system can be sorted out aswell.

Hopefully ill be running the engine in some time in June and have it mapped and ready to roll again not long after.

Cheers Rich, it's taking a bit longer to do this year (mostly my fault) but hopefully it'll all come together nicely in time for it :thumleft:

Saw the pics of the turbo you posted on facebook a couple of weeks ago. Looks mega!
Looking forward to seeing this thing running again this year. Hopefully in the flesh!
I'll be up at DynaTune on 25th and 26th April for my mapping session if you fancy popping by for a bit of a natter :thumleft:

I gotta say George- this thread is very disappointing....there's so much beautiful detail you could be sharing, but nope- there's nothing...shame on you [-X

Lets hear about some of the detailed work going into this build please....
