Whitby Drive Out Sunday 4th August

Post by wilkie senior »

Posting on behalf of Lee (l33mr2) who's organised this run out

heres the event Facebook page

As the weather is nice, and hopefully it will stay that way for quite a while yet, it has been proposed that we do a Whitby run for some great roads and fish and chips. Now I will be putting a few people up Saturday night but can't accommodate too many people. I can store a max of 6 bikes at a push in my garage and there will be space on my drive for one more car, though parking on the road isn't an issue.

So for the route I have had a few ideas of which I will add a mapped route soon.

Either, york-Bridlington-Scarborough-Whitby- Pickering- york

Or

York- Pickering- moors-Whitby-Scarborough- Whitby.
As a rough idea.
All welcome on the drive/ ride but as I say can't accommodate for everyone Saturday night.

Cheers brian.

So for sunday we will be meeting up at mcdonalds at bilborough top services near york:
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?expflags ... l=GB&hl=en

Meeting there at 9.30am, then after some breakfast setting off at 10am.

This is the route we plan on taking:
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Co ... &via=6&z=9
(appologies for the mahoosive url)

First stop will be at flamborough head light house for a quick pit stop before heading to whitby for fish and chips.
Then from there we will be heading back to york via pickering.

if people want to meet us somewhere en route and drop off else where that is fine.

so far there is in attendance:
1. Me - Honda CBR600 RR
2.WWM - Honda Blackbird
3. RickmcRick - Some other crap bike
4. Chris Mac - Push bike
5. LM & missus - A duck
6.Phil B - Bike b1tch
7. Wilkie senior - white eagle (mk2 MR2)?
8. Rikh77 - Mk2 MR2?
9. Ste M - Mk3 MR2?

Anyone else game?

Hi Lee

got a mountain of stuff going on at moment but I fully plan to at least drive to meeting up point,

if we set of in reasonable time will do the drive into Scarborough, but will need to head back from there

I think Wilki is knee deep in snog juice with Holly getting back after working away for 10 months

Cheers
