SC Battery Upgrade

Post by ulysess1966 »

I got around to fitting a 55Ah battery into my SC to replace the piddly 35Ah thing that had a habit of going flat at the wrong moment.

Anyway the intercooler is supported at the back by the battery top plate, but my new battery is about an inch lower than the old one and is being held securely in place at the bottom.

For now I have bodged this up to hold the intercooler, but I was wondering how other people have made a neat job of this.

Some PICS here.

The only sane way forward is to upgrade the interwarmer

In my NA to SC swap I drilled a hole through the bottom of the battery stay and put a long piece of threaded rod in there to keep the intercooler up.

Just back from a week's holiday in Cornwall.

I like this idea Bigbobo, I'm thinking that would be the best way to go, maybe even see if I can get something on both sides.

Thanks for the tip,

Glenn
