Gauges - Mounting - What Have You Done ???

Post by gtech »

Hi People,

Well I'm in the process of mounting 3 52mm gauges into the car and after getting one of the DIN mounts for the spare slot under the radio, I am now wondering if this is the best postion .

Have you mounted 3 gauges??? Where?? any pics???

and finally, if you have used Pillar mounts do they get in the way??

Any other suggestions (keep it clean!!!) for mount 3 of the beasts.

Thanks

Graeme

I have boost and EGT gauge in A-pillar.

Easy viewing and don't get in the way.

If you have electric gauges then it should be easy enough to run all cables etc under the centre console, under the heater controls and up behind the radio/CD.

I will eventually be doing as you are when I fit my other gauges in the spare DIN slot. You might try making some mockup to help decide if above or below the radio is best.

I've got 3 gauges in the DIN above the radio. The holder isn't exactly finished yet although it houses 3 gauges perfectly.

I'll get some pics up once its fully finished.

Where'd you get a 3pod one from?

Can't find any.

Also has any one seen the new Blitz one? like a 4 in one. Looks pretty good.

You can mount it upside down and the guage will flip itself so you can read it.

I'm just gonna go for defi's though. Although the warning system sounds very good.

Can't find it on their site yet though. Maybe I looked at the wrong one.

My choice,

Chose like this as keeps the line of the the dials constant

Image

was planning to have 3 when i made it, already had two dials so just whacked some mesh on the back untill i got round to ordering the third, but actually quite like the mesh!!
