Anyway, they were black, but the paint had chipped loads showing colours underneath and bare metal.
i've just finished welding the sills now ready for paint so i thought i'd tidy up a few bits starting with the wheels. i do really like these wheels, but never really the colour. i wanted white. i bought them off a nice chap on here but the colour wasn't to my taste. a friends dad gave them a quick spray for me for £40 and that took care of the yellow for a while. he said just black would be cheap and easy so that decided it.this is how they looked.

maked up after hours and hours and hours and hours of sanding scrubbing and paint stripping.
(i know the tyres are still on but if i spent anymore money taking the tyres off and on i might as well have had them powdercoated.)

all was going well here. i do hate painting though.
one in primer and one in green.
three green ones before clear.
and after clear coat.
they look a bit 'minty' or pale in the photos from a phone, but they are quite deep sort of takata green in the flesh.
haven't got them on the car yet as the clear has
'a few' drips that are drying out in a 40degC room at the moment. the car is still off the road but i can't wait to see what it looks like!any opinions welcome.
