Rev 2 turbo

As title, should the power steering pump run constantly when ignition is switched to on (engine off)?

Mine was doing it, I removed one of the leads from the pump relay to stop it firing up whilst I traced a fault, put lead back on, now its not coming on.

Any ideas what it could be?

Turned out to be the relay, seemed to switch OK but tried a spare on it and pump came on.

PS relay is known for sticking on SW20's. Quite often off, but yours might have stuck on. I've had it before but clicking off-on-off-on cleared it, if not a new second hand one might be worth a shot.
