Building a wiring loom.. Where do i get wire from?

Post by RyanRs »

I am rebuilding part of the body harness to re-position the ecu behind the passenger seat as the boot now being a Bmic is no longer sealed from the elements and the ecu could get wet.

The only issue i seem to be having is finding somewhere that sells about 25 different colours of automotive cable!? Off the top of my head i need 25 x 3m lengths of thinwall PVC. I can companies that sell 11~12 colours but nowhere that goes into striped colours etc? I know there is ways around this ie labelling the ends but from past experience, theres too much risk of labels coming off / mistakes being made when trying to feed wires down through tight locations etc.

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Could paint the cable yourself if you can't find anywhere?

Scrapyard? find a big estate and strip the loom, guarantee you'll have more colours and wire than you will ever need
